Licensing Requirements

The state of Nevada regulates radiation-producing equipment but has no licensure requirements for the operators of such equipment, except for mammography.

However, you may still choose to register with the ARRT and sit their certification exams. ARRT certification is nationally recognised, will help to strengthen your credentials in the workplace and will future-proof your skillset should requirements within the state change.

For more information on licensing, certification, and continuing education requirements, you can contact the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH) –  Radiation Control Program.
