Heather Mills, Campaign Associate, The Partnership for Healthcare Excellence
Heather Mills is the campaign associate at the Partnership for Healthcare Excellence. She has worked on a number of statewide issue-based campaigns as well as presidential campaigns.
Most recently, Heather worked on the sales and marketing campaign for the Commonwealth Health Connector to help inform the uninsured residents in Massachusetts about the new health care reform law which required they obtain health insurance. She also organized testimonials by newly insured individuals to help put a personal face on health care reform and promoted their stories with the local media. The campaign has significantly increased the number of insured in Massachusetts and the health care reform law has attracted national attention.
Heather honed her skills in communicating public policy issues while working on a British campaign to join the European single currency. Working for a UK government minister she researched the benefits to the UK of European Union membership, and advised on partners and messaging to communicate the government's message on Europe.
Heather has also served as a research analyst in the Massachusetts State House for Senator James Marzilli. She earned her Masters from the London School of Economics and her BA from Tufts University.
